“I don’t know what I want. But I know I don’t want you,” says Christine Miliotti, her ex-boyfriend, in a new trailer for the movie “Made for Love.” Based on Alyssa Notting’s novel of the same name, the HBO Max comedy series sees the “Palm Springs” actress play Hazel, a 30-year-old woman desperately trying to escape her miserable marriage. The only problem is that her billionaire tech billionaire husband (Billy Magnusson, “Aladdin”) 10 years ago implanted a chip in Hazel’s brain that integrates their thoughts.

“Technology has improved the way we live. Why not improve the way we like?” He asked. Made for Love implant doubles as a monitoring device, and is able to track, watch, and learn about Hazel’s thoughts and feelings after declaring her intent to divorce, making it nearly impossible to escape.

Milliotti’s credits include “The Mindy Project,” “Fargo,” and “How I Met Your Mother.”

“Made for Love” premiered on HBO Max on April 1. Christina Lee (“Search Party”) worked as a show host, while Stephanie Ling (“Dollface”) and Alicia Jones (“Dispatches from Elswhere”) directed the first season of the series.
