In Tokyo, a French father draws the world’s attention to what he says was the kidnapping of children by their parents in Japan.
Vincent Fishot started his hunger strike outside the Olympic Stadium on July 10.
He says his Japanese wife disappeared from the family home with his two children three years ago and that he has not seen them since.
His story is not rare in a country where only one parent is allowed child custody when marriages break down, and other parents have joined his protest.
Fishot had to stop his hunger strike after his fall, which required hospital treatment and surgery, but he vowed to continue..
