BeyonceHer mother runs out of blood against those who turned her daughter Tiffany’s campaign into a blood diamond controversy.
Tina Knowles Blow up on Instagram to all the “socially conscious activist[s]“who summoned Bey for wearing the famous 128.54-carat Tiffany Diamond… which is from a colonial mine in Kimberley, South Africa.
Waiting for your permission to download Instagram Media.
If you haven’t heard, Beyoncé is the fourth woman to wear the iconic diamond – and the first black woman – as part of Tiffany & Co’s new “About Love” campaign… which also features her husband, Jay Z.
Apparently Bey didn’t know the gem was a blood diamond… So the question – did Tiffany & Co. trick Beyoncé into wearing it in the ad? There are reports that Beyoncé is angry that she didn’t get an alert.
A lot of people don’t care about that, and they call her out for flaunting her… but Mama Tina doesn’t have it.
Knowles directed an Instagram comment towards these critics, asking how many of them own diamonds, and if they have… “Have you gone to try and check to see where the diamonds came from?”
Her point is… that everyone who has an engagement ring or owns a diamond probably isn’t looking for its origin, so all the “good” attacks on her daughter are hypocrisy.
It’s a fair point…but probably not everyone on Twitter is silent.
Speaking of which, many Twitter users were also quick to defend Beyoncé… noting that there was no backlash when she Lady Gaga Tiffany wore Diamond at the Academy Awards in 2019.
Before her, he only wore diamonds Mary Whitehouse And Audrey Hepburn. There was clearly no social media at the time… so these ladies got really lucky.
