Now, the Australian 30-year-old brand has finally got what it never had before: a dedicated broadcast and broadcast channel, through a deal with Media Loop. The free ad-supported Wiggles channel launches this summer and will include thousands of hours of original programming designed for kids and families. Jon Niermann co-founded Loop Media, whose multi-channel digital platform extends beyond the living room to hotels, bars/restaurants, office buildings and retail businesses. In a previous career class at Disney, Niermann struck up a relationship with Wiggles, giving him a foothold as he looked to feature the group in a new media context.

Distribution plans have not been confirmed, but Loop Media is available in the US, Canada and Latin America through its apps for iOS, Android and Huawei, as well as connected TVs and smart TVs. Platforms that offer free ads supported include Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Vizio, and Plex.
Formed in 1991 in Australia by Anthony Field, The Wiggles have toured the world, playing in front of millions of fans and selling arenas as big as New York’s Madison Square Garden. Their songs, including “Fruit Salad,” “Hot Potato,” “Rock-A-Bye Your Bear,” and “Toot Toot Chugga Chugga Big Red Car,” have grossed over a billion hits. They also sold a wide range of consumer products and had their logo on everything from postage stamps to theme park attractions.
Viewers of Disney, Nickelodeon, HIT, and many more international networks have been able to watch episodes over the years, but there’s never been a place for it to shine all the time.

Field said the launch of the new channel means the group has “generations of fans who now have a chance to watch their favorite original writhing Videos. Working with Jon once again and his team at Loop Media to make this happen is an amazing moment for us.”
