Villardita shared that he felt the need to be a symbol of hope for young people in hospitals and so began dressing up as his childhood hero.
“When you are in a hospital, you see the world through a different lens and appreciate the little things in life,” he told a local Newsletter. “A lot of people don’t realize how lucky they really are. So I felt this inner desire to do something, almost important.”
