I am exploring the possibility of writing a post for the Effective Altruism Forum on Decision Making and Nuclear Escalation focusing on political maneuvering and other quasi-experimental methods in order to better understand group dynamics. I came across a lot of work on maneuvers in the United States (eg “Will US leaders push the button? War games and sources of nuclear restraint’) and would love to find a Soviet/Russian equivalent research where elite Soviet or Russian decision-makers are given a hypothetical scenario of conflict and respond to it, either during or after the Cold War.?
