The court offered no explanation for the decision to allow Texas Republicans to begin enforcing a new law that clearly violates the Roe Act.

In the news today: The Supreme Court has allowed a Texas law banning abortion 6 weeks after the last menstrual period to go into effect, effectively enforcing the protective measures put in place before Raw vs. Wade and ban nearly all in-state abortions. No explanation was given to the court. The new extremist-backed law also builds a “viability” system in which Texans can turn anyone who “incites” abortion, turning the state into a circus of for-profit claims made by anti-abortion religious extremists against any Texan show.
