A few days after announcing the cancellation of #LovecraftCountry, the show’s creator, #MishaGreen, struck a new deal with Apple TV+.

According to variety, Green “signed a multi-year package deal” with Apple TV+ after what was reported as a “competitive bidding process” for the creator.

With this new deal, Green will create and develop the offerings exclusively for the platform.

Also, the new Apple TV+ deal will allow Green to work with some of the crew from #Underground, as she was a co-creator and executive producer of the canceled WGN show after two seasons.

At the moment, it is not clear if the #LovecraftCountry will be renewed.

As you may know, the show was not renewed for a season 2 on HBO Max.

“We will not move forward with the second season of Lovecraft Country,” HBO said in a statement. “We are grateful for the dedication and artistry of the talented cast and crew and Misha Green, who made this groundbreaking series. And to the fans, thank you for joining us on this journey.”

Although canceled, the show received 18 Emmy Award nominations.
