An iconic property that belonged to the late Kathryn Graham It hit the market for the first time in 50 years…and one of them would cost a pretty penny.
Known as “Mohu,” Martha’s Vineyard is located on 50 acres near the prestigious Lambert’s Cove. The property includes a 5-bedroom beach house, a 1-bedroom cottage, tennis court as well as a private 860-foot white sandy beach.
The entire Shebang will cost $39,500,000…but these are some luxury properties in a prime location. The property is surrounded by 3,000 feet of James Bond waterfront and a network of hiking trails that meander through the woods and along a pond.
According to the Vineyard Gazette, which first broke the news, the Moho estate was the last plot of land owned by the Graham family. The estate once spanned over 200 acres, but little by little, the family sold plots of land.
Catherine purchased the over 200-acre property in 1972 for $1.46 million.
There is no doubt that there is plenty of room to build on the land…if the new owner needs more living space. There is also a great deal of privacy. The property is surrounded by the 186-acre estate that also belongs to the Graham family. This property sold for $32.5 million in 2019.
Catherine, of course, was the chief publisher of the Washington Post for more than two decades and played a major role in the Washington Post which helped bring down the President Nixon In the wake of the Watergate scandal. She passed away in 2001.
