Jim Bob Duggar’s friend has just been arrested for physically assaulting his wife

You know what they say?

How often can you judge someone by the company they keep?

we will…

Jim Bob Duggar is pictured here with a preacher named Kent Hovind. The two have been friends for years.

On July 19, according to legal documents obtained by The Sun, Hovind was arrested for third-degree assault on his wife Cindy.

The memo details “Kent did with the intent to cause physical injury to another person, Cindy Lincoln, by throwing her to the ground.”

He was released on $1,000 bail on July 30 and is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on August 30.

On the same day Hovind was arrested, we can also confirm that his wife filed a restraining order against her partner.

Cindy claimed that in January of this year, her rental property was stripped/destroyed by the right-hand man of Kent Hovind with Kent’s prior knowledge and allowance.

She says she was “threatened with a pistol hidden in the pocket of his right hand with Kent’s foreknowledge and consent” during the same altercation.

Cindy has been married to Kent since 2018, and also told authorities that her husband “beat her body, causing an emergency room visit and damaging her chiropractor’s report” in October 2020, adding:

“He wants to silence me. He relies on public opinion for his livelihood. Threatening language from his colleagues. For fear that he will kill me to silence me.”

This isn’t the first time Hovind has had trouble with the law.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2007 for financial crimes, including tax fraud and structuring bank transactions.

After his release, after nine years behind bars, Kent opened Dinosaur Adventure Land in Florida and Alabama, where he spoke out against science and evolution.

Hovind was photographed with Jim Bob shortly after that release in 2015 and has been close to Dad of 19 ever since.

The eldest son of Jim Bob, Josh Duggar, arrested in April I am charged with possession of child pornography.

He pleaded not guilty and will be tried in November.

If convicted overall, Josh – who has also admitted to adultery and molesting his teenage sisters – could face up to 40 years in prison.

Jim Pope and his wife, Michelle Josh, helped cover up his harassment in 2006, refusing to tell the police what happened.

“We appreciate your continued prayers for our family at this time,” Jim Pope and Michelle said after Joshua’s arrest. “The charges against Joshua today are very serious.”

They added on April 30, 2021:

“Our prayers are for the truth to emerge, no matter what it is, and for all of this to be resolved in a timely manner.

“We love Josh and Anna and continue to pray for their family.”
