Jay-Z He could be in the process of starting his own production company … at least it looks like it’s this way based on the trademark request his company has put in.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Hova’s S. Carter Enterprises filed for trademark “2 / J” on May 3 for “Entertainment in the Nature of Creation, Development and Production” of TV shows, TV series, movies and similar projects.
It’s too early to tell, but Jay definitely appears to be laying the groundwork for starting a production company.
It would be fitting for Jay-Z, the music and business mogul, to start his own production company. He’s actually made a fortune with his own cognac with D’Usse, the live streaming service Tidal, and of course the widely successful entertainment company, Roc Nation. And just last year, he launched his premium cannabis brand, Monogram.
Jay would follow in the footsteps of entertainment tycoons having their own production companies … like Spike Lee40 acres, Adam SandlerSaid Madison Productions and LeBron JamesSpringHill, which has reportedly already amassed an impressive array of deals and partnerships in the media world.
