Goldman Sachs chief says it is important to “ go the extra mile, ” after 13 U.S. employees said 95-hour work per week and “ inhuman ” conditions amounted to abuse

I worked for an investment bank before (not Goldman, but it was the top 3). They and their employees take pride in their “status” and the “reputation” of their work. I was also one of those people, but after the “honeymoon” phase ended, I started asking myself what the hell was going on. People sacrifice their health for an administration that doesn’t care about them, but for what? prestige? The average person’s salaries aren’t much (or at all) higher than they are elsewhere.

I was eventually fired because I hardly did anything. I was not excited. There was no prestige. It was all just suckers sucking each other’s bars just because they worked for X when in reality they weren’t one, even for the company.
