Disneyland and Walt Disney world It will reintroduce a health mandate requiring cast members and guests to wear masks indoors on Friday, July 30.
The authorization will apply to everyone in the parks age 2 and older, regardless of vaccination status.
A face covering will be required specifically upon entry and at all attractions. They will also need to wear them while riding on enclosed transportation vehicles, such as Disney buses and monorails.
The Disney theme parks in Anaheim, California and Orlando, Florida made the announcement via their official websites, noting that masks will remain optional for all guests in public outdoor areas.
“We are adjusting our health and safety guidelines based on guidance from health and government officials, and will require cast members and guests ages two and older to wear face coverings at all indoor locations at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort starting Friday, July 30, regardless of vaccination status,” a Disney spokesperson said in an official statement to the press. “At Walt Disney World Resort, this includes admission to all attractions and throughout closed transportation, including Disney Skyliner buses and monorails.”
