The season finale for SRX (Superstar Racing Experience) was fraught and turbulent Saturday night, July 17th. Chase Elliott, Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR driver, finished first at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, snatching the win from Tony Stewart.

Elliott had an exciting run against his father Bill, who had led the majority of the race from the start. Once he washed up in Turns 1 and 2, Chase overtook him and never fainted.

“I had a ball. I raced against one of my champions, and raced against my dad there the whole race. These are the moments I will cherish forever,” Chase Elliott He told CBS Sports: In Victory Lane. “…I don’t know what set the fire under (Bill) tonight, but he was just as aggressive as I’ve seen him in years. It was amazing and so much fun.”

While Stewart came second in Nashville, he was still victorious, winning the SRX All-In-One Championship. He earned enough points on the heat races to grab the title before the featured race. Stewart’s impressive list of accolades includes three NASCAR Cup Series, the 1997 Indy Racing League, and the 2006 IROC Final.
