On the eve of America’s celebration of its 245th birthday, Audrey and Jeremy Roloff took to Instagram on Saturday and released a somewhat related announcement:
The couple will soon have a brand new birthday to celebrate.
Because they are expecting their third child!
“Our family is growing! Maybe I can convince Audrey to buy a pickup truck now?” Jeremy captioned a video of his immediate family in a field, jumping for joy.
Meanwhile, Audrey was more forthright in her assertion:
“We’re about to be a family of 5!. The little tie-cutter is coming in November!” I wrote.
These words, a mother of two, included a picture of a recent phoneme.
In the above Instagram video, Jeremy plays Budd James, born in January 2020; and Ember Jean, who entered the universe in September 2017.
At that moment, a camera flashes and we see Jeremy holding sound waves in his hands.
hooray!!!!
A little over a month ago, Audrey announced that she was stepping away from social media, sparking widespread speculation as to why this is so.
Was she working on a new project?
Tired of dealing with haters and trolls?
Or, as it seems now, did she simply choose to relax and focus on the life growing inside her stomach?
Audrey and Jeremy left Little People, Big World in the summer of 2018 and have since started podcasts and written two books.
We doubt they’ll come back, too.
“We are so grateful for the opportunity the family show has given us, but being able to harness that energy and do what we’re doing right now gives us so many life goals. [and] Passion,” Jeremy told Us Weekly on January 13, adding:
“Going back to reality TV feels like a step in history at this point.”
The polarizing husband and wife frequently share photos of themselves and their two young children abroad in Oregon, and they have often hinted here and there that they are open to expanding their family further.
And here we are.
It is very exciting!
No word yet on whether Audrey is expecting a second boy or a second girl this fall.
I took to Instagram a couple of days ago, though, in order to honor the man who will now be a dad three times in just a few months.
We may now know why, too.
The following heartfelt message makes more sense in the wake of this major news.
Audrey wrote…
He makes knives, builds tables, wipes butts of poo, reads theology, takes neighbors to the emergency room and sits with them all day, cleans dishes, keeps plants alive, raises chickens, befriends gas workers, looks for little to many things, listens to noisy wives And outings, say thank you for the little things.
He keeps cars from the ’70s running smoothly, writes books, creates meaningful moments for wife and kids, plays imaginative toys with dolls, fixes everything that’s broken, sparks meaningful conversations, tries to flip a rope swing at age 31 and proves it.
For example, but not limited…
You continue to like me @jeremyroloff.
We send our best wishes to Audrey for a happy and healthy pregnancy.
Congratulations to you both!
We can’t wait to meet our next bundle of joy!
Jeremy’s brother, Zack, is unfortunately lost for him The third child who had a miscarriage earlier this year.
“Honestly, I’ve never felt as lost as I did in that moment,” Zack’s wife Tori wrote in March.
“I have never felt sadness, anger and fear in a single moment.
I didn’t show any symptoms of loss [our] My dear beautiful angel, and nothing can prepare me to hear that our sweet child is gone.”
I concluded at that time:
“Parents should never know the grief of losing a child. I pray that we find peace because our children are waiting for us in heaven and we will meet one day.
“I’m posting this hoping he’ll just touch one mom and tell them you’re not alone. I felt as though I needed to acknowledge our beautiful angel baby so I could share my kids here with me.
“This is what I will continue to do – thank the Lord for what I have.”
