Atlantic ocean voyage is the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

Johnny Ward is part of a rowing team of four men who crossed the Atlantic Ocean in one boat.

The travel blogger is originally from Kilkeel, County Down, and took up the challenge to raise awareness of mental health.

The trip – dubbed The Atlantic Dash – was a 3,200-mile voyage from the Canary Islands to Antigua.

His crewmates were Johnny Bailey Taylor, Martin Heseltin, and BBC Direcity Vegan chef Matt Pritchard.

They initially set off from Lanzarote on March 6, but the flight had to restart from Fuerteventura a week later due to seat issues.

They crossed the finish line on Sunday, May 2.

The four men can take the journey because the Covid rules allow for charitable events.

They were raising money for the Dean Farm Trust and the Humen Men’s Mental Health Charity.
