The blessed month of Ramadan begins in the midst of a pandemic

blessed month of Ramadan Ramadan begins on Monday It will run until May 12 when it culminates with Eid al-Fitr, which will fast for Muslims from sunrise to sunset. Because Ramadan is related to the lunar calendar, its exact date varies from year to year. Society, traditions, and celebration are all part of the holy month, as families gather to have an early morning meal, known as suhur, and a post-sunset meal, known as iftar, to have breakfast together. After closing its doors this Ramadan last year due to COVID-19, the Al Salam Mosque in Dearborn, Michigan will host a personal service, but the food will be served in a driving style. “It will be difficult as it happened last year,” said Nabil Bahlawan, one of the volunteers at the mosque.
